Overview

This position is for a candidate enthusiastic about optimization and delivering high quality features to users. The Lead Salesforce Administrator will play an essential role in driving our Salesforce team toward successful feature customization and maximizing user adoption. Candidate must have extensive experience with the core Salesforce platform, have excellent communication skills and have demonstrated experience generating user stories and/or functional requirements for custom Salesforce features.  

 

The Lead Salesforce Administrator will report to the Vice President of CRM Integrations. S/he will be  charged with gathering requirements and tasking our Salesforce team effectively to ensure that all features delivered to our production org are on spec and quality tested.  Primary tasks include meeting with users to generate user stories and functional requirements, working collaboratively with our Salesforce Administrator and CRM team to ensure we stay on our release schedule and generating and executing QA test plans. This position will also share the load of standard salesforce administrator tasks with the Salesforce Administrator where appropriate. 

 

Candidate must have the ability to work collaboratively toward specified outcomes with limited intervention from architect/supervisor. Candidate must be successful at delivering in a healthy, high performance work environment. The candidate is also expected to serve our internal users in step with Castle Group’s Royal Service principle. 

 

3- years experience in the Salesforce ecosystem is required for this role. Extensive experience working with Flow Builder and Lightning App Builder is a must. Some experience working with REST APIs is also essential. Experience working on “Agile”-style and/or incremental development teams is much preferred.  

 

Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (Pardot) experience is also a significant plus. 

Responsibilities

  • Responsibilities: 

    • Performs general Salesforce Administrator functions including management of roles and profiles, sharing rules, updates to record types, page layouts, etc 
    • Creates and updates Apex Classes and Visualforce pages where required 
    • Makes “no-code” changes to the Salesforce org with Flow Builder. 
    • Makes UX changes to the Salesforce org with Lightning App Builder 
    • Creates and executes QA test plans for new features based on published requirements 
    • Generates and distributes communication to users regarding new features, bugs and other Salesforce-related announcements 
    • Leads requirement gathering sessions with department heads and other end users  to gather requirements for new features 
    • Writes out requirements and specifications for new features 
    • Tasks the Salesforce Administrator appropriately to ensure optimal project outcomes 
    • Collaborates with Manager of Business Intelligence and communicates requirements for data normalization when deploying new features to production 
    • Seeks out opportunities to improve the UX and is proactive about proposing project concepts to the team 
    • Attends weekly Salesforce “Org” meetings 
    • Performs testing on new features during the Integration and QA development stages 
    • Performs smoke tests in production at deployment

Required Education and Experience 

  • 3-5  years experience in the Salesforce ecosystem is required for this role
  • Extensive experience working with Flow Builder and Lightning App Builder is a must.
  • Salesforce Administrator, Developer and App Builder Certifications are preferred but not required. 
  • Experience gathering requirements from users and translating those requirements into user stories and specs
  • Experience with QA testing
  • Experience working on “Agile”-style and/or incremental development teams
  • Experience with Monday.com is a plus. 
  • Experience with Salesforce DevOps Center is a plus

  • Command of computer hardware/software, specifically Microsoft Office Suite. 
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality. 
  • Fluent in English. Spanish is a plus but not required.
