Overview

Summary 

The Lead Pool Attendant is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the pool area, including monitoring attendants, managing pool-side equipment, and ensuring adherence to safety and community rules.  

The Lead Pool Attendant provides exemplary service in a manner consistent with the values and mission of the Castle Group.  He or she performs all responsibilities while demonstrating outstanding customer service skills representative of Castle Royal Service. 

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Supervise and support pool attendants in their daily tasks and responsibilities. 
  • Ensure that pool attendants monitor the pool area, remaining approachable and accessible to residents/guests. 
  • Enforce Association rules and regulations specific to amenity use. 
  • Assist with setup and breakdown of poolside activities and manage event logistics as needed. 
  • Train and guide pool attendants in customer service, safety procedures, and community policies. 
  • Document and submit incident reports to Management in a timely manner. 
  • Maintain cleanliness and order around the pool area, addressing any maintenance concerns. 
  • Ensure all poolside equipment is safe and operational, coordinating repairs or replacements with Management. 
  • Manage the inventory of pool equipment and amenities, ensuring they are available and in good condition. 
  • Set up beach chairs, umbrellas, and other amenities, as needed. 
  • Make safety announcements and ensure compliance with safety protocols. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management. 

 

Supervisory Responsibilities 

  • May supervise at least one or more pool attendant(s). 

Qualifications

Qualifications

Education and Experience 

  • High school diploma or equivalency required 
  • 2+ year in hospitality or a similar position with some knowledge of managing inventory, indirect supervisory responsibilities. 
  • Prior experience as a pool attendant or in a related field is preferred. 

 

Skills and Abilities 

  • Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills to help create effective customer-focused relationships with all levels within the organization.  
  • Ability to de-escalate conflicts and resolve issues in a professional manner. 
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills 
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills with proven experience in de-escalation techniques. 
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational and prioritization skills  
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.

  • Able to work under pressure, maintain composure and utilize good judgment during emergency/difficult and stressful situations. 
  • Ability to lift 40lbs. following appropriate safety procedures.  
  • Ability to: 
  • work in an upright standing position for long periods of time 
  • crawl in small and tight spaces 
  • work in different environmental working conditions (e.g., heat, cold, wind, rain).  
  • walk and climb stairs 
  • stoop and bend 
  • Extensive use of fingers for typing and visual use of the computer monitor.  
  • Handle, grasp, feel objects and equipment.  
  • Reach with hands and arms.  
  • Ability to quickly and easily navigate property/buildings is required to meet the job functions.  
  • Repeat various motions with wrists, hands, and fingers.  
  • Ability to detect auditory and/or visual emergency alarms 
  • May be required to perform work outdoors during all seasons   
  • Ability to hear, understand and respond appropriately to verbal requests made in person and over the telephone. 
  • Visual ability correctable to 20/20. 
  • Ability to respond verbally in an understandable, professional manner in person and over the telephone. 
  • May be required to travel for training sessions off-site 
  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends if needed.
