The Operations Technician is responsible for inspecting and troubleshooting maintenance/operational duties pertaining to the access of the community and/or its building and common areas, troubleshooting access systems, building and grounds oversight for compliance and reporting to management on all areas.
The Operations Technician provides exemplary service in a manner consistent with the values and mission of the Castle Group. He or she performs all responsibilities while demonstrating outstanding customer service skills representative of Castle Royal Service.
Maintenance-Operational Duties:
-Envera System protocols oversight
-Gate arm functionality and repairs
-RFID equipment maintenance
-Camera troubleshooting & video retrieval as needed
-Software/hardware diagnostics
-Auxiliary gate troubleshooting
Basic Troubleshooting & Coordination:
-System reboots and minor repairs
-Vendor coordination for escalated repairs
-Interface with Marion County Fire Department, EMTs, and the Sheriff’s Office as needed
Building & Grounds Oversight:
-Locking/unlocking buildings as needed
-Responding to common area maintenance emergencies
-Fire alarm and kitchen hood exhaust safety monitoring
-Fitness center minor equipment & technology troubleshooting
-Remote A/C temperature control
-Emergency protocols (Hurricane preparedness)
-Identifying and reporting community violations, maintenance/restocking needs, and signage issues, and operational concerns
Communication & Follow-up:
-Assisting residents with Envera App education and sign-ups
-Ensuring prompt communication and follow-up on service and maintenance issues
-Monitoring the Rover phone and responding to resident concerns
-On-site wildlife contact and handling

Education/Training/Certifications/Licenses:
Entry level position High school diploma or equivalent.
One (1) to two (2) years of front desk or club house attendant experience preferred. Strong customer service skills required. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Intermediate command of computer hardware/software is required.
English is required. Multiple language fluency is desirable.
May be required to travel for training sessions off-site on an ad-hoc basis. May be occasionally required to cover for front desk staff when needed. Ability to work extended hours and weekends based on scheduling needs.
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. work in an upright standing or sitting position for long periods of time. Handle, grasp and lift objects and packages. Reach with hands and arms. Communicate, receive and exchange ideas and information by means of the spoken and written word. Ability to quickly and easily navigate the property/building as required to meet the job functions. Complete all required forms.
