Overview

The Technical Trainer is responsible for becoming a subject matter expert on all Castle Group proprietary software platforms, participating in planning sessions to understand upcoming features and updates. The role will involve not only designing and delivering training but also facilitating workshops and advocating for our technological products across the organization. The individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless communication and understanding for all users.  
 

The Technical Trainer provides exemplary service in a manner consistent with the values and mission of the Castle Group.  He or she performs all responsibilities while demonstrating outstanding customer service skills representative of Castle Royal Service. 

Responsibilities

Subject Matter Expertise 

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of all current and upcoming Castle Group software platforms.   
  • Participate in planning and development sessions to stay informed on new features and updates.   
  • Understand how the software integrates with Castle policies, procedures, and multi-unit operations.    
     

Instructional Design & Development 
 

  • Design and develop engaging software training content, including live and virtual sessions, job aids, and courses.   
  • Create concise "how-to" video tutorials and step-by-step guides for users.   
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Operations, PMO, Talent Development, I.T., etc.) to align training content with operational goals.   
     

Training & Facilitation 
 

  • Deliver in-person and virtual training sessions, including workshops and webinars.   
  • Conduct train-the-trainer workshops to empower internal stakeholders to deliver consistent software training.   
  • Be a key resource for software-related inquiries and provide hands-on training for users at all levels.   
     
     

Advocacy & Communication 

  • Act as an advocate for Castle Group’s technology platforms, promoting best practices and their operationalization.   
  • Solicit user feedback during and after training sessions and communicate it to the Technology and Learning teams for continuous improvement.   
  • Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders to ensure clear understanding and usage of the software.   
     

Cross-Functional Collaboration 

  • Partner closely with teams across the organization to ensure that all training initiatives are aligned with the needs of the business.   
  • Provide feedback to the Technology team based on user interactions, helping to shape future updates and improvements.

Qualifications

Education and Experience 

  • 5+ years of experience in software training or a related role.  
  • Bachelor’s degree in education, Information Technology, or a related field preferred.  
  • Experience in propertymanagement industry is a plus.   
  • Exceptional presentation and public speaking abilities.  
  • Strong writing skills for creating training materials.  
  • Proficient with e-learning platforms; experience with LMS is a plus.  
  • Comfortable being on camera for video training.  
  • Ability to travel regionally up to 60%.  
  • Must be fluent in English and Spanish.

  • Extensive use of fingers for typing and visual use of the computer monitor.

  • Ability to quickly and easily navigate property/buildings are required to meet the job functions.  
  • Repeat various motions with wrists, hands and fingers.  
  • Ability to detect auditory and/or visual emergency alarms.  
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights above ground level. 
  • Ability to hear, understand and respond appropriately to verbal requests made in person and over the telephone. 
  • Visual ability correctable to 20/20. 
  • Ability to respond verbally in an understandable, professional manner in person and over the telephone. 
  • Ability to stoop and bend. 
  • Position may require valid Driver’s License.
