Overview

This position is responsible for Asphalt Repair, Seal Coat, Striping and RPM Replacement, Concrete Repair, Bridge Maintenance, Herbicide Spraying, Running Heavy Equipment. Knowledge of Traffic Control Plans. 

  

The Roads Crew also provides exemplary service in a manner consistent with the values and mission of the Castle Group. He or she performs all responsibilities while demonstrating outstanding customer service skills representative of Castle Royal Service as it relates to this function. This includes working interdepartmentally, as well as, with our external customers. 

Responsibilities

  • (May include some or all of the following as applicable) 
  • Performs a variety of cleaning/maintenance duties as assigned including but not limited to: road maintenance, sweeping, mopping, shampooing, dusting, polishing, trash disposal, replacing light bulbs and window cleaning. 
  • Maintains all cleaning solutions in accordance to OSHA requirements for hazardous chemicals. 
  • Removes trash from premises and assists in emergency cleaning. 
  • Maintain cleanliness of assigned areas and assigned equipment in good working condition. 
  • Minor painting of walls, doorways and curbs. 
  • Pressure wash walkways, buildings and other property using power washing equipment. 
  • Ensures that security procedures are adhered to at all times. 
  • Maintains professional working relationship with building staff. 
  • Completes daily work orders as scheduled. 
  • Ensures all safety precautions and procedures are followed while performing duties in accordance with OSHA. 
  • Any other responsibilities as assigned by Supervisor.

Education and Experience 

 

Education/Training/Certifications/Licenses: 

High school diploma or equivalency preferred. 

 

Experience/Knowledge/Skills: 

Previous custodial experience preferred. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Ability to properly utilize new equipment and follow safety procedures. 

 

Computer literacy:   

Basic command of computer hardware/software is required. 

 

Language requirements: 

Multiple language fluency is desirable. 

 

Travel and availability requirements: 

May be required to travel for training sessions off-site on an ad-hoc basis. 

Ability to work extended hours and weekends based on project requirement. Ability to respond to emergencies and callouts in a timely manner.

  • Walk and climb stairs 
  • Extensive use of fingers for typing and visual use of the computer monitor.  
  • Handle, grasp, feel objects and equipment.  
  • Reach with hands and arms.  
  • Ability to quickly and easily navigate property/buildings are required to meet the job functions.  
  • Repeat various motions with wrists, hands and fingers.  
  • Ability to detect auditory and/or visual emergency alarms.  
  • Ability to climb ladders and work at heights above ground level. 
  • Ability to hear, understand and respond appropriately to verbal requests made in person and over the telephone. 
  • Visual ability correctable to 20/20. 
  • Ability to respond verbally in an understandable, professional manner in person and over the telephone. 
  • Ability to stoop and bend. 
  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends if needed. 
  • Position may require valid Driver’s License.
